Paul Granese is a Philly born-and-bred independent illustrative artist whose Philadelphia roots and 16 years in the music industry with punk, pop-punk and indie artists have defined his signature artistic style. Paul describes his style as “textural” and “gritty,” and the City of Brotherly Love’s influence isn’t hard to miss.
“Everywhere you look in Philly there’s inspiration, you just gotta find where to look. Sometimes I’ll take pictures of textures I see on the street or on the side of buildings, bridges, or whatever, just to use in my designs.”
He brought that unmistakable Philly edge to this collab—designing a limited-edition gig poster that reps Surfside and our city the only way we know how: loud, proud, and full of character.
